Sending safely

Acceptable use

Send transactional messages for applications and recipients you are authorized to contact. Do not use RavenRelay for unsolicited bulk email, purchased address lists, phishing, malware, fraud, harassment or illegal content. Verify sender ownership and honor complaints and suppression blocks. Production access requires review; account activation and API keys can be revoked.

All projects in a workspace share reputation safeguards. In a rolling 24-hour window, sending is suspended at 5% hard bounces with at least 100 eligible sent recipients, or 0.1% complaints with at least 1,000 sent recipients and two complaints. Delivery simulator addresses are excluded. These are RavenRelay policies; provider enforcement can differ. Burst anomalies also trigger operator review.

When sending is suspended, investigate recipient quality and application behavior with the operator. An administrator can resume after review, resetting the reputation observation window; production sending still requires explicit activation. Suppression entries remain in place. There is no automatic resume.
